Festivals and events are an important aspect of the community landscape for both Woodland, CA and Yolo County as they serve as an economic magnet that provides direct commerce for area businesses, especially overnight accommodations.

As a way to stimulate overnight stays and visitor spending Experience Woodland, in partnership with Visit Yolo (Yolo County Visitors Bureau), offers financial support through sponsorships for Woodland festivals and events. This support helps to extend Experience Woodland and Visit Yolo brand awareness, marketing campaigns and initiatives. The object of this program is to bolster marketing dollars, resulting in increased visitor spending and revenue to the local Woodland economy.

These sponsorship funds are available to festivals and events that generate overnight visitation (typically longer than one day) in Woodland, CA. To apply for these funds a completed application along with all required documentation should be completed 90 days in advance of the event. All applications are subject to a competitive review process.
